The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chairman, Imo State Chapter, Bar Peter Ezeobi assures Party followers in Imo State and beyond of their readiness to win Imo gubernatorial election while calling for credible elections.
The Party helmsman stated this recently while interacting with members of South East Media Editors Forum (SEMEF) at the Party’s Egbu Road Office, maintained that APGA in Imo State is united and focused while warning those he regarded as Mercenaries causing disaffection to beware as the Party would no longer tolerate such antics.
On the litigation presently challenging his position by ex-State Chairman,Chief Cletus Nwaka, he asserts that the APGA guidelines were strictly followed before his emergence wondering what the litigators intend to achieve having realized that upon assumption of any Political Position, one vacates position held at the Party level and asked while Chief Nwaka having accepted Chairmanship of Imo State Civil Service Commission could turn back to ask for same. Continuing, Bar Ezeobi states that there have been two persons on the seat as APGA State Chairman before his arrival wondering why it took Nwaka all these time to challenge his tenure.
“I, as the Imo State Chairman of APGA moved a motion at the last National Convention of our Party towards extension of the tenure of the National Exco to February which Nwaka claimed to as a beneficiary” said Ezeobi.
According to him, APGA at the State level is one under his watch and has Capt Emmanuel Iheanacho as governorship Candidate wondering while Mr Okey Eze who participated in the State Primary and failed, and for his activities which comes in conflict with the APGA’s constitution was and remains suspended would go about deceiving people on non-existent litigation challenging Capt Iheanacho’s candidature.
Contributing, an Owerri based Legal luminary, Bar Emperor Iwuala states that “Imo State does not need a typical Politician but a technocrat with track record who can create Wealth as governor”. According to him Capt. Iheanacho is a known Entrepreneur with reputable brands, and fits well into present drive towards returning Imo to prosperity. More, he condemned the purported adoption of Hon Emeka Ihedioha by Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu led Owerri Peoples Assembly as non-issue since Hon Ihedioha has a track of Political zoning abuses and can not benefit from same this time.
