'The lossLinda Nkechion National Youth Service in Abujais one death too manyperpetrated by policemen' - Oby EzekwesiliFormer Education Minister, Oby Ezekwesili has reacted to the killing of Linda Angela Igwetu, a member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, by an operative of SARS. The female corps member was shot dead on Wednesday in Abuja by a SARS officer identified as Benjamin Peters.  The deceased, who was billed to pass out of NYSC today, was said to have gone out with her friends as part of the celebration for the completion of her one year service when the trigger-happy policeman shot and killed her. She sustained gunshot wound and was rushed to Garki hospital but the hospital allegedly refused to treat her, citing the absence of police report authorizing them to treat her gunshot wound.   Reacting to the death, Ezekwesili the co-convener of BringBackOurGirls, BBOG, advocacy group in a series of tweets said Igwetu’s death was “one too many.”I am tired.Loss of Miss Linda Nkechi Igwetu - on National Youth Service in Abuja- is one death too many, perpetrated by policemen of .@PoliceNG .I do not know what .@AsoRock @NGRPresident @MBuhari and @ProfOsinbajo are waiting for before ACTING to END THIS SCOURGE.
